Oregon City, Oregon, is a historically rich city steeped in pioneer heritage. Recognized as the first city west of the Rocky Mountains to be incorporated in the United States, it served as the last stop on the famed Oregon Trail and was home to the provisional government for the Oregon Territory. Strikingly sited on a bluff overlooking the Willamette River, Oregon City features breathtaking views and diverse natural beauty. The city is known for its attractive downtown area, filled with unique local shops, boutiques, art galleries and an array of culinary options, all nestled amidst well-preserved historic structures. Catch a ride on the city's municipal elevator, one of only four in the world, for an exceptional viewpoint. With a balance of historical reverence and a vibrant culture, Oregon City offers a unique blend of past and present.
